Sales scripts and templates: ready-made texts for every customer type
Note: the people and figures in this article are a composite example based on typical situations in small businesses in Uzbekistan.
Aziza runs an online cosmetics store. 6,000 Instagram followers, 15-20 messages daily. But there was a problem: she answered each message differently. Sometimes fast, sometimes late; sometimes warm, sometimes dry. To some she quoted a price then forgot. When they said "I'll think about it," she didn't know what to say. Result: of 15-20 messages, only 2-3 became sales. 15% conversion. One day Aziza analyzed her 10 best sales — and realized: in successful sales she used almost identical words. She turned them into templates. Two months later, conversion rose from 15% to 34% — sales more than doubled.
This isn't Aziza's discovery — it's the biggest secret of sales. The best salespeople don't reinvent from scratch each time. They have proven scripts for every situation. In this article — ready sales scripts adapted for the Uzbekistan market, from first contact to closing. Copy and adapt to your business.
Why you need sales scripts: 3 reasons
- Consistency — every customer gets an equally quality response
- Speed — you don't think each time, you adapt a ready text
- Proven — working words repeat, non-working ones are discarded
A script isn't a cage, it's a foundation. A good salesperson adapts the ready text to the customer naturally. A bad one reinvents from scratch each time and makes mistakes.
— Sales mastery rule
Stage 1: First contact scripts
When a customer writes on Instagram/Telegram
Customer: "Hello, is this available?" or "How much?"
Bad answer: "Yes" or "50 thousand." (Dry, kills the conversation.)
Good script: "Hello! Yes, it's available 😊 [Product] — price [X] UZS. What color/size do you need? We'll arrange delivery too." (Warm greeting + answer + question to continue.)
The main secret: always end with a question. A question continues the conversation and engages the customer.
When a customer calls
Script: "Hello, [Business name], [Your name] speaking. How can I help?" — a professional and warm start.
When a customer comes via advertising (lead)
Answer the lead within 5 minutes. Script: "Hello! Thank you for reaching out about our ad 😊 I'll tell you all about [product/service]. First a question: what exactly do you need — [option A] or [option B]?"
It's important to manage leads quickly and systematically. More in "Converting leads to clients".

Stage 2: Needs identification scripts
The biggest mistake — offering a product without knowing what the customer wants. First ask, then offer.
- "For yourself or a gift?" — understand the situation
- "Have you used something similar before?" — learn their experience
- "What's most important — quality, price, or speed?" — determine priority
- "By when do you need it?" — learn urgency
- "What was your budget?" — understand the price range (carefully)
Write the answers in the customer card in CRM. When the customer returns, you'll know their taste, budget, need.
Trying to sell without knowing what the customer wants is shooting with your eyes closed. First ask, understand, then offer.
— Needs identification rule
Stage 3: Objection-handling scripts
An objection isn't a "no." It's "I need more information." The most common objections and ready answers:
Objection: "Expensive"
Good script: "I understand, price matters. But let me say: [product] lasts [X] time and [benefit]. That's only [calculate] UZS a day. It's an investment, not an expense. Buying good once is cheaper than bad twice, right?"
Objection: "I'll think about it"
Good script: "Of course, think it over — that's right. Just a question: what's holding you back — price, quality, or something else? Maybe I can help." (Reveals the true reason.)
Objection: "It's cheaper elsewhere"
Good script: "I understand. Price matters, but it's not the only thing. We have [differentiator: warranty, delivery, quality]. Cheap sometimes costs more later. We give you [specific value]. Worth it, right?"
Objection: "No time/money right now"
Good script: "I understand, no problem. Reach out when convenient. Just let me say: there's [promo/discount] now. If interested, I can remind you. When would be convenient?"
Objection handling is a separate big topic. More in "Working with objections".
An objection isn't a door closing, it's opening. If the customer objects, they're still interested. An indifferent one just leaves.
— Objection rule
Stage 4: Closing scripts
Many get stuck here — they show the product, answer questions, but fear saying "buy." Closing is a stage, don't fear it.
Direct close
Script: "Great! Shall we place the order? Send your address, we'll ship today."
Choice close
Script: "Which do you prefer — [option A] or [option B]? Both are excellent." (Customer thinks "which to choose" instead of "buy or not.")
Urgency close
Script: "Let me mention: only 3 of this left in stock, and the promo ends tomorrow. If you've decided, best to order now." (Only if TRUE — false urgency destroys trust.)
Soft close (for hesitant customers)
Script: "Let's do this: order it, and if you don't like it — there's [warranty terms]. You lose nothing. Give it a try."
Stage 5: Follow-up scripts
80% of sales happen after 5-12 contacts. But most stop after 1-2. Follow-up is the ignored gold mine.
Day 1 follow-up (to non-responder)
Script: "Hello! Writing about your question yesterday. Still interested in [product]? If you have questions, just ask 😊"
Day 3 follow-up
Script: "Hi! I have a special offer for you on [product]. If you order this week — [bonus/discount]. Interested?"
Day 7 follow-up (last attempt)
Script: "Hello! I won't bother you, writing for the last time. If you don't need it now — no problem, when you do in the future, I'm here. Take care! 😊"
Follow-up can't be kept in your head — CRM automates it. More in "Follow-up with customers".
Not following up is finding prey and letting it go without shooting. The customer was already interested, you just needed to remind them. You didn't — a competitor did.
— Follow-up rule
Storing and using scripts in CRM
Scripts should be stored not in a notebook, but in CRM. Why: all managers use equally quality scripts; new employees learn fast; the best scripts get updated.
In Cliento CRM you can save ready response templates. Through Telegram integration you can use them right in Telegram — more in "Telegram business and automation".
Aziza's results in 2 months

- Response time — from 30 minutes to 3 minutes
- Follow-up — none before, now 3 times per lead
- Average check — rose 18%
- Daily sales — from 2-3 to 6-7
- Most important: trained an assistant — scripts are ready
Before, I'd think how to reply, losing time and customers. Now I have ready scripts — I reply fast. The best: I trained my assistant, she sells like me.

Frequently asked questions
Won't the customer notice the script?
If you read word-for-word — yes, and it's bad. But if you master it and speak in your own words, adapting — no one notices. A script is a foundation; the goal isn't to be a robot but to be consistent.
One script for all businesses?
No. The structure is the same, but words and examples are adapted. Best — analyze your successful sales and create templates.
How to create scripts?
Easy way: for 2-3 weeks, record your best sales — how you started, what you asked, how you closed. Then create templates from those words.
Where to store scripts?
In CRM. A notebook gets lost, files get confused. In CRM templates are organized, available to all, easily updated. In Cliento CRM you can save and use them via Telegram.
How many times to follow up?
At least 5-7 times at different intervals (day 1, 3, 7, 14, 30). 80% of sales after 5+ contacts. Just don't be annoying — each follow-up should give value.
Conclusion
Sales scripts aren't a cage but a foundation that makes you free and effective. Ready texts for 5 stages: first contact, needs identification, objections, closing, follow-up. Adapt to your business, store in CRM, continuously improve. Aziza doubled her conversion in 2 months. Try Cliento CRM free at crmcha.uz.
